Tell me what to write about.
COMMENTS
Weather.
How the kitty likes the new place.
How you like the new place.
Homesickness.
Memories of dancing.
Memories of running.
The taste of pickles.
Beds.
Stars.
Not writing.
Rabbit balls.
Your fingers will find the way, dear.

About how much BYRNE ROCKS of course; it'll embarrasse me, of course, but it pleases the masses.

All the awesome restaurants that you can eat at and I cannot, you being in Seattle and I being... not.
Alternatively, the holy Roman Empire: neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire.
Alternatively, Things That Really Piss Me Off and Why Everyone Else Should Care (this is my personal favorite topic of discussion).
mwah!

There's always the classic slightly-stinging tongue-in-cheek Coastal relocation culture shock theme. Or else your cat. cats are always good.

Write about what's going on with you. Everyone else seems alot more caught up than me. How did you come to be in Seattle?
Heck, write about ANYTHING. But write. You have such a unique voice.

Culture shock. Funny things the kitten does. How you feel about NYC now. Your plans to visit Vancouver. What your life would be like if you'd made one small, seemingly inconsequential different decision some years ago. How pretty you are.

Nan.
Being in your 30s and not married.
Loss, of any kind.
Leaving NYC.
Being Sara Astruc and all that that entails.

Why you moved to Seattle, and what you want to do with your life.
Posted by: Kristin on Dec 11, 04 | 6:37 pm
What do you do when you can't sleep at night? Is it different, to be...oh, shit, I'm making a Sleepless in Seattle reference. I didn't mean to, but there I am. In the dark night of the soul it's always a Tom Hanks movie! What's yours?
Posted by: Stef on Dec 11, 04 | 10:33 pm
I want kitty stories. And Sara stories. And moving stories. And....well, stories. And pie.

How do you like living life 3 hours earlier on the Left coast than you did on the Right coast?

Write.
Write about anything, your words are some of the best and most lasting I've ever read.
Write a book, so I can tell all my friends that I've read the author's work years ago on the internet all in one night as if it would disappear if I didn't read as soon as I found it!
Just write, so we can read.

Write about being lost. And being found. And the things you discovered along the way.
Write about who you are today, and who you want to be 10 years from now, and who you were 10 years ago.
The places you want to see, the things you want to do, real or imagined.
The colors you want to paint your house, and the joys of garbage disposaling.
The sky in Seattle as compared to New York. The ocean on the other side of the road.
And pie. And Byrne.

Just write. Your words about anything and everything have been so sorely missed. Please write.
Posted by: Jenn on Dec 14, 04 | 9:00 am
Your book
Robin Altemus (that's what got me hooked, I had to mention it)
And I second the why-you-moved-to-Seattle request!

Write about the evanescence of desire.
Nastalgia for decades and epochs you weren't alive in, but you feel nastalgia for anyway.
Your doppleganger.
Posted by: Pietro on Dec 15, 04 | 11:39 pm
Seattle.
Things you miss about NYC that you hated when you were there.
The Space Needle.
Summer fruit.
Your new kitchen.
Your favourite author when you were a child.
Getting lost. Getting found.

It is on my Santa's wishlist for this year that you write, write, write, write, write. And I have been a very good girl this year!
SANTA DID YOU HEAR THAT? A VERY GOOD GIRL!

Write about the time he said something that could've ruined your night out together, but you let him off the hook and he knew it.
My friend, who is a hard core rationalist argues that perhaps he's never been in love. Being that God is Love and since he doesn't believe in God, he doesn't think he believes in love either.
